2018 FFI GEN Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted

FFI is fortunate to have a generous and expansive community of members. Their contributions to the field and to FFI are well known around the world.

Several members and organizations have shown their commitment to extending the professional development of the field through scholarships to the Global Education Network (GEN) certificate programs.

Thanks to these sponsoring organizations, and congratulations to those who have been awarded scholarships – all of whom are making amazing contributions to FFI and the field by serving on committees, writing for FFI Practitioner, leading virtual study groups, serving as GEN faculty, and much more.

Applications for the 2018 Scholarships are now open and must be received by April 15, 2018. Go here to apply for any of the scholarships listed below.

Scholarships for Certificates in Family Business (CFBA) or Family Wealth Advising (CFWA)

These scholarships provide required enrollment and course fees, a one-year individual FFI membership, a complimentary FFI conference registration while enrolled in the program, and an FFI Mentor.

Crystal & Company Scholarship

For Next-Gen Family Business Members
Established in 2013, this scholarship is for next-gen family business members who would like to formalize their learning on the family enterprise.

Crystal & Company is a leading strategic risk and insurance adviser, addressing clients’ risk management, insurance brokerage, and employee benefits consulting needs.

de Visscher & Co. Scholarship

For Next Generation Consultants and Advisers to Family Enterprise
This scholarship, established in 2010, is for individuals from law, finance, management and/or behavioral science who are interested in becoming family enterprise consultants and who may need financial assistance in making this transition.

de Visscher & Co. assists its clients in developing and analyzing financial solutions for the liquidity needs of the shareholders, the capital needs of the business or both while designing highly effective family and corporate governance structures to assure the long-term sustainability of the family wealth across generations.

Waesche Family Scholarship – new this year!

This scholarship is intended for those in need of financial support to take the next step in their professional development within the field of family enterprise. Preference will be given to applicants who research and aid in the understanding of the inescapable influence of money on the family enterprise.

The Waesche Family Scholarship is the charitable arm of Resource Management, LLC, a family-owned Registered Investment Advisory Firm specializing in helping family enterprises transition ownership and wealth through the generations.

Scholarships for Advanced Certificates (ACFBA and ACFWA)

These scholarships provide required enrollment and course fees for either advanced certificate.

Carmen Bianchi Family Business Associates Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2015 to further the professional development and education of advisers, consultants, educators and academics seeking to increase their skills, knowledge and abilities to work successfully with family companies and the wide variety of challenges they present.

Carmen Bianchi Family Business Associates works with family members in a variety of formats including one on one sessions, family councils, and family retreats. They also conduct a number of seminars on a variety of family business issues.

Fitzpatrick & Francis Family Business Continuity Foundation Scholarship

Established in 2013, this scholarship is for individuals who wish to pursue an Advanced Certificate, furthering their interdisciplinary mastery of the field.

The Fitzpatrick & Francis Family Business Continuity Foundation, the charitable arm of the Family Business Resource Center, supports the growth and development of family business advisers. The Family Business Resource Center provides long-term, durable solutions for strengthening the business and the family behind it. It also provides team-building and executive-development consultations.
