he second report from the 2086 Society grant recipients is now available. Read on for “The Governance Marathon: Dynamic Durability in Entrepreneurial Families amid Disruptions” by 2020 grant recipients Jeremy Cheng, Kevin Au, Marta Widz and Marshall Jen.
This week’s FFI on Friday brings you the second report chosen and funded by the FFI 2086 Society, created in 2018 to reinforce FFI’s role as a leader in advancing the field of family enterprise through its core strategies of education, research, and public awareness. Throughout its history FFI and its members have worked together to develop major innovations that set the standard for the industry—notably the Global Education Network (GEN), Family Business Review (FBR), FFI Practitioner, and innovative annual global conferences.
To further and enhance the organization and the field, the 2086 Society has focused on applied research, with the first grant report published in 2019. Entitled “Professionalizing the Business Family: Five pillars of competent, committed and sustainable ownership,” the report was authored by Claudia Binz Astrachan, Matthias Waldkirch, Anneleen Michiels, Torsten Pieper, and Fabian Bernhard.
Today we present the report from the 2020 grant, entitled “The Governance Marathon: Dynamic Durability in Entrepreneurial Families amid Disruptions.” Authored by Jeremy Cheng, Kevin Au, Marta Widz, and Marshall Jen, this report will be accompanied by related videos early in 2022.
