FI is pleased to offer scholarships for applicants to the Global Education Network (GEN) Core Certificate program. Applications are due May 1, 2025. Recipients may begin their program on July 1, 2025, and will have one year to complete all requirements.

Scholarship Criteria
Scholarships are provided annually for individuals who wish to enroll in a GEN core certificate program.

Scholarships include the following:

  • Enrollment fee for the Certificate in Family Business Advising (CFBA) or the Certificate in Family Wealth Advising (CFWA)
  • Related GEN courses: GEN 102, 201, 202, 501
  • One-year FFI membership
  • Complimentary conference registration during the year of enrollment

Applicants are requested to have established credentials in the fields of law, finance, behavioral science, or management science prior to applying for a scholarship. Applicants are encouraged to describe their suitability for one or more of the scholarships described below and to specify which program (CFBA or CFWA) they are applying for.

Core Program Scholarships
FFI Board Scholarship
Offered annually at the discretion of the FFI Board of Directors to one or more applicants who demonstrate financial need.
Green Associates Scholarship
Offered annually by Green Associates, LLC, to further the diversity of thought, innovation, and better educational and practice outcome for students in the FFI GEN certificate program.
Waesche Family Scholarship
Offered annually by the Waesche Family for those in need of financial support to take the next step in their professional development within the field of family enterprise. Preference will be given to applicants who research and aid in the understanding of the inescapable influence of money on the family enterprise.

Join the New Virtual Study Group: Women in Family Enterprise
We are excited to announce the formation of a new Virtual Study Group, tentatively named the Women in Family Enterprise Virtual Study Group.

Chaired by Patricia Angus, this monthly online study group will explore the multifaceted roles of women in family enterprises. Our definition of family enterprise spans family-owned businesses, family offices, family philanthropy, and related intergenerational activities.

If you’re interested in joining or want to help shape the group’s direction before its January 30 launch, please reach out to nell@ffi.org by January 26.
