Scholarships for Certificates in Family Business (CFBA) or Family Wealth Advising (CFWA)
de Visscher Advisors Scholarship
In 2010, to celebrate its twentieth year as a company devoted to advising family enterprises, de Visscher Advisors established a GEN scholarship for next generation consultants and advisors in the field.

Marianna Hernández Harb is a consultant at Family Enterprise Partners in Madrid, advising families and preparing the next generation to be responsible shareholders, with a focus on helping clients succeed in preserving, generating, and transferring their legacy. Marianna studied law and finance at Tecnológico de Monterrey and has experience as a corporate legal advisor, and as an educator, as well as experience with Stonehage Fleming family office advisory services.

This scholarship is sponsored by Green Associates, LLC, to further the diversity of thought, innovation, and better educational and practice outcome for students in the FFI GEN program.

Emeline Foster is the founder of petrichor, a boutique philanthropic advisory firm. Emeline works with individuals, families and corporations and ensures that her clients feel entrusted to develop philanthropy that is both meaningful to them and impactful to their community and society at large. Emeline was most recently the deputy head of the Philanthro-lab, a family-funded philanthropic project based in Paris. The Philanthro-lab hosts more than 50 nonprofits and philanthropic funds as well as an incubator to improve their strategy and capacity-building. She has served as managing director of foundations both in the US and in France.
Latin American – Caribbean Scholarship
This GEN scholarship is available to candidates from Latin America and the Caribbean. Candidates will also be professionals or academics in the fields of law, finance, behavioral science, or management science who are working with or conducting research on Latin American – Caribbean multi-generational companies.

With experience in educational technology and e-learning development, María excels in creating and administering online courses, facilitating workshops, and developing content on a wide variety of topics including emotional intelligence, communication, and negotiation for business families. An advocate for women’s participation in STEAM fields, she has presented at TEDxPuraVida among other international conferences.
Waesche Family Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for those in need of financial support to take the next step in their professional development within the field of family enterprise. Preference will be given to applicants who research and aid in the understanding of the inescapable influence of money on the family enterprise.

Oghenevwoke Ighure is CEO and founder of My Family, My Business, which develops educational programs tailored for family-owned businesses, including the Family Business Summit, Next Gen Boot camp, Family Business Leadership Awards, and the Family Business Deal Room. A pioneer in family business consulting in Nigeria, Oghenevwoke established the first family business summit in the country in collaboration with PwC Nigeria. He is publisher of the digital publication Family Business Journal. He is interested in exploring the wider societal impacts of family-owned enterprises and aims to increase understanding of family system dynamics and their influence on family businesses and business families.

Established in 2013, this scholarship is for individuals who wish to pursue an Advanced Certificate, furthering their interdisciplinary mastery of the field. Applicants for the advanced certificate scholarship must have already received a core certificate.

Kimberly Go, CFBA/CFWA, is assistant vice president of her family’s business and a third-generation member. She recently led a governance initiative for her family’s business and completed the Bowen Family Systems Theory Continuing Studies Program. Kimberly was previously a consultant at Premier Family Business Consulting and has spoken at family business conferences worldwide about intergenerational communication and being a member of the next generation. Kimberly graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in journalism and economics. She is interested in conflict resolution, succession planning, and educating the rising generation.
