he 2025 Nominating Committee welcomes suggestions from the FFI membership for nominees for Board of Director positions. These terms will begin immediately following the Annual Meeting in November 2025 and conclude as of the Annual Meeting in 2029.

The 2025 Nominating Committee is seeking suggestions for potential board nominees from the FFI membership. Suggested nominees should reflect the diverse background and global geography of the field. Special consideration will be given to suggested nominees who have experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Digital media and communications platforms
  • Raising long-term capital to further create or develop FFI products that align with the FFI strategic pillars of Education, Research, and Public Awareness
  • Strategic planning for non-profit boards
  • Thought leadership and practical experience in the family enterprise field
  • Researching or advising Latin American, Asian, and/or MENA multi-generational family enterprises.

In all cases, the Nominating Committee is seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about FFI’s multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural approach to the field as articulated in the mission statement:

“. . . to be the most influential global community of thought leaders in the field of family enterprise. We foster and publish research, offer educational programs, and share knowledge to develop a professional association of multi-generational family enterprise advisors, consultants, and educators.”
Nominees are not required to be current members of FFI. Members also should feel free to suggest themselves as well as others for consideration by the Committee. Names should be submitted using the online form by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on April 13, 2025.
The Nominating Committee will then review all suggestions from the members, along with the results of its own deliberations, to develop a list of potential candidates for interview by the Committee. Nominees will be chosen in June, and the election will take place by electronic balloting beginning in late August or early September.
