Greetings from the 2026 Nominating Committee

The 2026 Nominating Committee is seeking suggestions from the FFI membership for potential board nominees. Suggested nominees should reflect the diverse professional background and global geography of the field. Special consideration will be given to suggested nominees with demonstrated knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Operational and strategic experience in digital communications, including the use of AI applications.
• Raising long-term capital to further create or develop FFI products and activities in the next five years.
• Promoting and influencing enrollment in online learning programs, including FFI’s GEN program with ability to provide group enrollments in the GEN program.
• Participation in non-profit boards, not necessarily in the family enterprise field.
• Thought leadership and practical experience in the family enterprise field, particularly individuals who have entered the field in the last five years.
• Research and/or advising experience in Africa, Australia, and Latin America.

In all cases, the Nominating Committee is seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about FFI’s multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural approach to the field as articulated in the mission statement:

Nominees are not required to be current members of FFI. Members also should feel free to suggest themselves as well as others for consideration by the Committee. Names should be submitted using the online form by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on April 25, 2026.

The Nominating Committee will then review all suggestions from the members, along with the results of its own deliberations, to develop a list of potential candidates for interview by the Committee. Nominees will be chosen in June, and the election will take place by electronic balloting beginning in late August or early September.
