s we approach the end of 2025 we want to thank the members of the FFI committees. These committees select the Global Conference theme and programs, the 2086 Scholar-in- Residence, the Academic, Achievement and FBR award recipients, and the nominees for the Board of Directors. We extend our sincere appreciation to the committee chairs and members for their many and varied contributions to the FFI initiatives.

2025 Conference Program Committee
The Conference Program Committee decides on the conference theme, drafts the call for proposals, agrees on a process for vetting and choosing the proposals received, determines the daily conference schedule, recommends keynote presenters, and acts as hosts during conference.

2086 Society
The 2086 Society was created in 2018 to reinforce FFI’s role as a leader in advancing the field of family enterprise through its core strategies of education, research, and public awareness—and to build on its mission to be the most influential global network of thought leaders in the field of family enterprise. It has granted two research awards, engaged individuals as scholars-in-residence, and currently works with the Nomadic School of Business to present alternative business models.

Best Doctoral Dissertation Award Committee
This committee of academics reviews all award submissions in a blind, peer-review process between January 1 and April 1 each year. The Best Doctoral Dissertation Award is awarded annually to encourage and recognize outstanding academic achievement in the field of family business study.

This committee changes yearly and is comprised of members of the FBR Editorial Advisory Board. The Best Article Award Committee reviews all FBR articles published in the previous calendar year and selects one article to receive the award. Nominating Committee
From the By-laws: A Nominating Committee, consisting of a chairperson and four other members, shall be appointed annually by the Board of Directors at its first meeting after the annual meeting. The chairperson and at least one other member shall be members of the Board of Directors at the time of their appointment. In addition, the Chair shall be ex-officio a non-voting member of the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee shall select a slate of one or more nominees for the Board of Directors’ seats to be filled.
