Shamus Khan is the Willard Thorp Professor of Sociology and American Studies at Princeton University. An internationally recognized scholar, his research examines culture, inequality, gender, and elites. He has held leadership roles with the Russell Sage Foundation, Columbia University Press, and Public Culture, and is a frequent contributor to publications including The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Khan is the recipient of Columbia University’s Presidential Teaching Award and the Hans L. Zetterberg Prize, recognizing him as one of the world’s leading sociologists under the age of 40.
