he 2020 FFI conference in New York City is the place to share your vision for the future and your thoughts on what might have been “rose-colored” glasses interpretations of the past. Either way, Bright Spots or Blind Spots, please submit your proposals by January 13 for consideration by this year’s conference program committee. A new decade is right around the corner, and we all need your best thinking to continue the stimulating FFI conferences.
October 28-30, 2020, Marriott Marquis, New York City
In choosing 20/20 Vision as the theme of our 2020 FFI Global conference in NYC, we want to consider the ways in which this metaphor might be used in our work with and research of families in business and families of wealth. The 2020 program committee seeks proposals for 60- and 90-minute sessions. Multidisciplinary proposals that include a practitioner, researcher and family enterprise member are particularly encouraged.
It was my pleasure and honor last month to be elected chair of the FFI board of directors for a three-year term. This is an exciting time in our field, as evidenced by the energy, generative discussion, provocative ideas, and tremendous opportunities for connecting with each other at the annual global conference in Miami. As I take this new role, I am committed to working collaboratively and diligently to promote the field, support members and advance the mission of FFI in the coming years as together we meet the challenges and confront the ever-changing future.
