Celebrating the 2026 FFI Organizational Members: Part III

Bocconi University was founded in 1902 in Milan. Its mission is to “empower lives through knowledge and imagination,” developing responsible and thoughtful leaders by generating and disseminating innovative managerial knowledge.

Bocconi’s FFI members are part of the AIDAF-EY Chair in Strategic Management of Family Business in Memory of Alberto Falck, a permanent chair dedicated to research, teaching, and institutional initiatives related to family businesses. They are Andrea Calabrò, Valentino D’Angelo, Pasquale Latella, Biagio Micali, Alessandro Minichilli, Daniela Montemerlo, Paolo Morosetti, Fabio Quarato, Carlo Salvato, and Marta Widz.

Generation Transition Advisors (GTA) is a family business advisory firm dedicated to helping family enterprises worldwide navigate respectful and effective transitions in ownership and leadership. GTA supports current and next-generation owners by designing governance systems, shaping policies that reflect the family’s vision and legacy while fostering unity, strengthening cross-generational communication, guiding next-gen engagement, and advising on portfolio strategy and growth initiatives. of family businesses and family offices to successfully navigate the transition from one generation to the next.

Established in 1988, IMD Global Family Business Center is a center of excellence in research, education, and outreach for family enterprises globally. IMD helps family businesses, their boards, and executives to ensure family unity and multi-generational success. This work informs a series of open educational programs, in addition to a more customized approach focusing on the needs of families, ownership groups, and businesses.

STEP is a global professional body, with more than 22,000 members comprising lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures. STEP’s Business Families Special Interest Group, established in 2007, focuses on what makes business families distinct, their particular challenges, and how to best address them. STEP and the STEP Business Families Special Interest Group received the 2019 FFI International Award.
