his week’s FFI on Friday edition continues our series on the FFI Virtual Study Groups. These study groups are online forums to educate, connect, and inspire FFI members, and they are a way for practitioners to connect globally based on their interests.

In July, we featured the Asian Circle, and in August of 2022 we celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Iberoamérica Study Group. Today, we are introducing the newest group, the Systems Thinking Virtual Study Group.

About the Systems Thinking Virtual Study Group

The Systems Thinking Study Group is a virtual study group that meets monthly and holds open discussions on systems thinking and analysis concepts and their applications to the work and self-awareness of advisors. The discussions are based on FBR research, case studies, FFI Practitioner articles, or video shared prior to each session. The member-selected topics address contemporary and practical issues influencing family enterprise consulting and advising.

Systems Thinking VSG Members Who Are Alums of the FFI Global Education Network

The founding of the Systems Thinking VSG was inspired by GEN 102, “Systems Thinking for the Family Enterprise Advisor.” The virtual study group’s discussions are a natural extension of the GEN course material, and many of the group’s members are graduates of the GEN program.
